See instructions below
for details.
-
Observations from the grading of quiz 7:
-
The minimum length of one page per presentation
is very important
-
I've added some amplification to the instructions
regarding format.
-
Divide out the three sections of your critique
into clearly defined sections with left margin headings.
-
Be specific on the evaluation.
-
Name specific items and amplify.
-
Generalizations such as "I liked his paper" won't
fly. They just cause red ink to flow on your quiz paper.
-
A grade report will go out tomorrow.

Instructions
for submitting your presentation paper:
-
Take note of the Syllabus
guidelines for the paper.
-
(1) 20 minute summation of the subject to the
class;
-
(2) 15 minute class discussion of the subject;
-
(3) a minimum three page printed outline/summation
of the subject presented to each member of the class one class period in
advance of the presentation along with a bibliography of the subject.
-
Be sure to check the Schedule
page for the exact date of your presentation.
-
Alternatives for turning in the summation:
-
Print out enough copies for each member of the
class and the professor. At present this totals 20 copies.
-
Attach an electronic copy of your summation (preferrably
in Microsoft Word document format) in an email to me at GWU@cranfordville.com.
-
I will then post a MS word .doc form and a HTML
formatted copy of the summary here at the class Bulletin Board.
-
Each student will then be responsible for printing
out his/her own copy of the summary.
-
The prior class period due date holds true for
this option, just the same the printed copies.
-
The deadline is 5:00 pm for the due date.
-
Email copies submitted after 5:00 pm on the due
date will incur late penalty points.
-
Consequently, each class member will be responsible
to checking this Bulletin Board in anticipation of such postings.
-
Watch for
Matt's summation posted here late tonight or early tomorrow morning.
-

Special requests regarding the presentation:
-
As announced in class today, any one desiring
to augment your presentation using MS Powerpoint presentation materials
must let me know via email (GWU@cranfordville.com)
one class period prior to the scheduled presentation.
-
This way I can have the equipment ready for use.
-
Also, with your email notification, attach an
electronic copy of your powerpoint presentation. I have to use my network
structure to download materials onto my ThinkPad's hard drive. It doesn't
contain floppy disk or CD-disk drives except on the docking port which
is separate from the laptop.
