    13.37      And
                in reply
(A)1      he said,

(1)13.44         The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure
                                                     hidden in a field,

                                                                  having found
                                                     which one hid
                                                                and
                                                                  with joy
                                                           --- departs
                                                                and
                                                           --- sells all
                                                                        which he has

                                                                and
                                                           --- buys that field.

(2)13.45         Again the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant
                              seeking fine pearls.

    13.46              And
when he found one pearl of high value,
                        having departed
 (3)              he sold everything
                             which he had,
                       and
 (4)              -- bought it.

(5)13.47         Again the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet
                                                           cast out
                                                              into the sea
                                                                and
                                                           having gathered some of all kinds;

    13.48                                                           when it was full
                                                           which having pulled up
                                                                    onto the shore
                      and
                         having sat down
 (6)             they collected the good fish
                         into baskets

                      but
 (7)             the worthless they threw away.

 (8)13.49        Thus will it be
                         at the end of the age;

 (9)             the angels will go out
                      and
(10)             they will separate the evil
                         from among the righteous
    13.50             and
(11)             they will cast them
                         in the furnace of fire;

(12)             there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

(13)13.51        Have you understood all these things?

(B)      They say
                 to him,
                        Yes!

   13.52      And
(C)      he said
               to them,

                                      For this reason
(14)                   every scribe is like the householder
                                instructed         |
                                   in the Kingdom of Heaven
                                                   |
who brings the new and old
                                                          out of his treasure.
