21:18-19
18 Prwi` de; ejpanavgwn
eij" th;n povlin ejpeivnasen. 19 kai; ijdw;n sukh'n mivan ejpi; th'"
oJdou' h\lqen ejp j aujthvn kai; oujde;n eu|ren ejn aujth'/ eij mh; fuvlla
movnon, kai; levgei aujth'/, Mhkevti ejk sou' karpo;" gevnhtai eij" to;n
aijw'na. kai; ejxhravnqh paracrh'ma hJ sukh'. |
18 In the morning, as he was returning to the city, he was hungry.
19 And seeing a fig tree by the wayside he went to it, and found nothing
on it but leaves only. And he said to it, "May no fruit ever come from
you again!" And the fig tree withered at once. |

sukh'n ajpo; makrovqen e[cousan fuvlla h\lqen, eij a[ra ti euJrhvsei ejn
aujth/', kai; ejlqw;n ejp j aujth;n oujde;n eu|ren eij mh; fuvlla.
oJ ga;r kairo;" oujk h\n suvkwn. 14 kai; ajpokriqei;" ei\pen aujth'/,
Mhkevti eij" to;n aijw'na ejk sou' mhdei;" karpo;n favgoi. kai; h[kouon
oiJ maqhtai; aujtou'. |
12 On the following day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry.
13 And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he
could find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves,
for it was not the season for figs. 14 And he said to it, "May no one ever
eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard it. |
