George, that's a big one!!! |
Hello, my
name is George M. Rossi. I began my MDiv. studies at GWU SOD in the
Spring of 98. After this semester, I will have 18 hours left to finish.
Hopefully by May 2001 I should be completed the MDiv.
Originally, I am from the suburbs of Philadelphia (King of Prussia, PA). I spent about my first 18 years there. Now, 18 years later, (I'm 36), I live in Columbia, S.C. with my wife Denise (married 15 years) and four children: Sierra (10), Heather (7), Austin (5), and Emily (3). We moved to Columbia this August so that I could enroll in the Clinical Pastoral Education chaplain residencey program for the Palmetto Health Allilance (Baptist and Richland, and Easley hospitals). I will be in the residency for at least one year. Denise is a pediatric RN and works part-time. As for ministry, my original call was a missions call. Denise and I served as US-2 missionaries in the greater Phila. area in 88-90. At the same time, I worked on my Master of Arts (RE) from SWBTS via extension programs (Baltimore, San Antonio) and then finally on campus in Ft. Worth. I graduated in 1993. From there I went to Summerville, SC and served a church for 4 1/2 yrs. as associate pastor of ed/evang. Then, I served for 15 months at Dallas BC in Dallas NC where I have just finished. My hobbies include salt water fishing, golfing, and attending USC Gamecock games, and traveling anywhere at least once! My immediate goals are to complete my CPE residency and complete my MDiv. Then, work as a pastor/chaplain or even do both at the same time if possible. |
