DSNT401O
Cycle of Assignments
for Forum Responsibility
Last revised: 11/1/99
In response to the request of several students
becoming bogged down in an increasingly heavy workload for handling the
responsibility of the forum, the following pattern of assignments will
guide the forum discussion beginning with week 4 and continuing through
the end of the semester. Note the following guidelines:
-
Each student is assigned one question per week
(see # in table below) to be the expert who researches out the detailed
information in response to the question.
-
The assignments on Monday will now go out with
the student assigned to each question noted in the e-mail.
-
All other students need to interact with the initial
answer provided by the student assigned the question.
-
The professor will make a point to jump into the
discussion to make sure the responses stay on target with the thrust of
the question.
-
The assignments will rotate each week so that
every student will cycle through the full circle of questions 1 through
6 in the exegetical process.
-
The weekly homework assignments will still draw
upon the forum discussion, supplemented by your own insights and personal
study in secondary sources.
-
The weekly homework assignments will still be
completed in their entirely by each student.
-
This structure makes each student MUCH more dependent
on everyone else in the group to do a good job in answering the assigned
questions promptly and carefully.
Here is a listing of the
rotating assignments for the exegesis questions for the forum:
