I was born December 14, 1979 in Gastonia, NC.  I have lived all my life in the small community of Iron Station. It's not even populated enough to be a town.  Before my high school years, my family usually owned and raised about twenty pygmy goats at a time.  I would, also, help my maternal grandfather raise chickens and coon huntin' dogs (blue-tick and walkers).
In high school, I was active in various arenas.  I was a JV and varsity football trainer for all of my high school career. I played baseball during my Fr. and So. years.  I helped coach girls varsity softball my senior year.   I was a member of the BETA Club and other various academic clubs.  I was senior class president.  I was active in FCA all four years in high school.  I started a Bible study at my school. I was a member of the High-Q team (a quiz bowl type team).  We appeared on WTVI in Charlotte during the semi-final rounds of the UNCC competition (we finished fourth out of sixty teams).  My Jr. and Sr. years of high school found me working twenty hours a week.  Despite all my activities, I finished high school as sixth in my class.
Now, I am a So. at Gardner-Webb University.  I am a Religious Studies major whose hair changes colors at least twice a month. My calling is in the pastorate.  I am the Student Entertainment Association Chair of Gardner-Webb University.  I am the '99 GWU Freshman History Student of the Year.  I am also ranked near the top of my class.  I attend Pearl Baptist Church of Iron Station which I have attended for most of my life.  I really enjoy hanging-out at the Waffle House with my friend Liz and a host of others.
