---Reminders
- The final session of the seminar will be a joint session between Religion 600 and Religion 620
- When: Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 2:00
- Where: Dr. Cranford's home in Boiling Springs:
- What: Thomas Whitley will present his R620 paper on a philosophy of teaching Koine Greek in higher education.
- The grades for all the assignments for Religion 600 have been entered in WebGrade. You can check your semester grades by logging on to WebGrade.
Some updates:
- We will stick with the Schedule page for Jerry's paper presentation next Tuesday night. Some confusion developed over the canceled class on Nov. 20, and its impact on the rest of the semester.
- For the final session of the seminar on December 11, I want to combine the sessions of Religion 620 and Religion 600. Thomas has his paper presentation in Religion 620 due that day on a philosophy of teaching Greek in higher education. I want him to present the paper to the combined group. His topic should be of significant interest to each seminar member.
- Now a choice: 1) we can either meet at 2:00 pm Tuesday afternoon at my house (usual Religion 620 schedule), or 2) we can meet at 6:30 in LND 304 (usual Religion 600 schedule). Be thinking about the choice and which will work best with your final exam schedule that week. We will decide on one of these next Tuesday, Dec. 4.
Tuesday, Oct. 30, is the Mid Term Exam ---
MS Word formatted doc files are to be turned in separatedly as a
part of the exam
|
---The grading of the assignments 1 - 3, which have been turned in, is completed. They have been posted to WebGrade so that you can see your semester average thus far.
---During the first part of the seminar session on Tuesday, Sept. 25, Mrs. Mary Roby will walk us through using NC Live and other internet databases linked to GWU Dover Library. Be sure to bring your laptop with you to class, since she will have some planned learning activities requiring access to the internet.
---The hyperlinks etc. for Topic 04 have been updated and expanded. Assignment modifications have also been made.
The course is being offered jointly between the Department of Religious Studies and the M. Christopher White School of Divinity. The undergraduate students will be signed up for Religion 600 (CRN 11324) and the divinity school students will be signed up for DSED450 (CRN 10718) Research Seminar.
This Course Room is currently being developed in anticipation of the fall semester. So check back periodically for more details about various updated aspects of the course, especially to be found in the Schedule page.
Also helpful would be to complete the Online
Student Profile form before the first day of classes. This will help
me better understand the level of computer and internet skills among the
class members, as well as learn a little more about your background and
career aspirations. Five bonus points will be added to the Participation
grade, if this online form is completed by the end of the second week of
the semester.
For those who do not have easy access to the internet, all these materials as well as everything else on Cranfordville.com can be purchased for $9.95 plus handling and taxes. Just go to the C&L Publications web site and fill out the online order form under Mirrow Copy of Cranfordville.com. |
