Luke 14:25-35
Block Diagram:
    14:25      And
(A)       large crowds were going with him,
               and
                turning
(B)       he said
                to them,
14:26                     if one comes to me
                                          and
--- does not hate his father
                                                            and
                                                       mother
                                                            and
                                                       wife
                                                            and
                                                       children
                                                            and
                                                       brothers
                                                            and
                                                       sisters,
                                                            indeed even
                                                       his own life,
 (1)                    he cannot be my disciple.

(2)14:27               Whoever does not bear his cross
                                     and
                                come after me
                                              cannot be my disciple.

    14:28                    For
when he wishes to build a tower
                                         after sitting down
 (3)                    who among you does not first count the cost
to see if he has enough to finish it?

    14:29                    Otherwise,
                                     once he lay the foundation
                                               and
-- be unable to finish it,
 (4)                    all those watching will start to mock him
    14:30                            saying,
                                             This man started to build
                                                  and
---- --- was unable to finish it.

    14:31                    Or
when engaging another king in battle
                                     after sitting down
 (5)                    what king does not first decide
                                                                 with 10,000              with 20,000
if he is able to face the one coming against him?

    14:32                    And
                              if not
while he is still a great distance away
                              after sending an envoy
 (6)                    he asks for terms of peace.

    14:33                    Therefore
                                           in a similar way
 (7)                    everyone of you cannot be my disciple,
who does not renounce all that he has

    14:34                    Therefore
 (8)                    salt is good,
                             but
if the salt has lost its saltiness,
 (9)                    with what can it be made salty again?

(10)14:35               It is fit neither for land nore for the manure heap;
(11)                    they throw it out.

He who has ears to hear
(12)                    let him hear.
