5 Kai; ei\pen pro;" aujtouv", Tiv" ejx uJmw'n e&xei fivlon kai; poreuvsetai pro;" aujto;n mesonuktivou kai; ei[ph/ aujtw'/, Fivle, crh'sovn moi trei'" a[rtou", 6 ejpeidh; fivlo" mou paregevneto ejx oJdou' prov" me kai; oujk e[cw o& paraqhvsw aujtw'/. 7 kajkei'no" e[swqen ajpokriqei;" ei[ph/, Mhv moi kovpou" pavrece h[dh hJ quvra kevkleistai kai; ta; paidiva mou met j ejmou' eij" th;n koivthn eijsivn ouj duvnamai ajnasta;" dou'naiv soi.  8 levgw uJmi'n, eij kai; ouj dwvsei aujtw'/ ajnasta;" dia; to; ei\nai fivlon aujtou', diav ge th;n ajnaivdeian aujtou' ejgerqei;" dwvsei aujtw'/ o&swn crhv/zei. 5 And he said to them, 
"Which of you who has a friend will go to him at midnight and say to him, `Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 for a friend of mine has arrived on a journey, and I have nothing to set before him; 7 and he will answer from within, `Do not bother me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything?  8 I tell you, though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him whatever he needs.
