     4.21       And
(A)        he was saying
                 to them,
 (1)                     Is a lamp is brought in
                                         to be put
                                               under a peck measure
                                                    or
                                               under a bed?

 (2)                     Is it not brought in
                                      to be put
                                            on the lampstand?

    4.22                      For
 (3)                     nothing is hidden
except that it be made manifest,
                              neither
 (4)                     was anything concealed
but that it should come to light.

    4.23                    If anyone has ears
                                         to hear,
 (5)                     let him hear.

    4.24       And
(B)       he was saying
                to them,
 (6)                     Be careful of what you hear.

                               With what measure you measure
 (7)                     it will be measured to you
                              and
 (8)                     it will be added to you.

    4.25                      For
                                              he who has,
 (9)                     it will be given to him,
                              and
                                                              he who has not,
(10)                     even what he has will be taken from him.

    4.26      And
(C)      he was saying,
(11)                   Thusly is the Kingdom of God
as a man throws seed on the ground
                                                and
4.27                                   he goes to bed at night
                                                and
                                           he rises by day
                                                and
                                           the seed sprouts
                                                and
                                           it grows,
                                                 without his knowing it.

(12) 4.28             Of itself the earth bears fruit,
                                             first the blade,
                                             then the head,
then the grain in the head.

     4.29                  And
                            whenever the fruit is ripe,
                            immediately
(13)                  he puts in the sickle
                            because the harvest has come.

    4.30      And
(D)      he was saying,
(14)                   How can we compare the Kingdom of God,
                            or
(15)                   with what parable will we compare it?

(16)4.31               It is like the mustard seed,
                            when it is sown      |
                                       on the earth
                                                 |
which is the smallest of all seeds
                                                                                 of the earth
     4.32                                             and
                                                          when it is sown
                                                 ----- grows
                                                      and
                                                 ----- becomes greater
                                                                  than all herbs,
                                                      and
                                                 ----- produces large branches
so that the birds of the air are able
                                                                                              to make their nests
                                                                                                    under its shade.
