Especially pray for the nearly 150,000 members of the appx. 440 Baptist churches scattered across Haiti during this time of tragedy. The churches in and around Port-au-Prince suffered the greatest loss of life and damage. We have already contributed to the relief efforts as a church through the aid sent through the Baptist World Alliance, the European Baptist Federation, and the Bund Evangelish-Freikirchlichen Gemeinden. Relief Teams of Baptist laymen from several countries are already in Haiti to assist in the relief efforts.

Individuals desiring to contribute funda to relief efforts are encouraged to send their donations through the German Baptist Bund:

Wir bitten deshalb Gemeinden und Einzelpersonen, die in dieser besonderen Notsituation helfen wollen, ihre Spende an den BEFG Konto 333 08 bei der SKB (500 921 00) mit dem Stichwort „Katastrophenhilfe“ zu überweisen.

If you desire, you can contribute through our church to the Baptist Bund efforts. Just place your offering in an offering envelope and write on the envelope “Haitain Relief.”

Individuals with US bank accounts and credit cards can donate US dollars directly online through the Baptist World Alliance web site at http://www.bwanet.org/.

By contributing through either of these organizations you can be certain your funds will be used directly to aid the suffering people of Haiti.

Pray for Haiti and for Baptists on the Island.
